The linked 35 minute webinar was conducted in late April of 2025 and presented by the LTi Product and Client Success Groups.  

The video outlines the rebranding of the Document Generation functionality into the newly named Communications Hub and the new features that are now available in it. This in not a new module, simply a re-naming of Document Generation and is fully available in versions after 5.20.67 with a simple upgrade.

1.  Could you show an example being generated as a pdf?
The Generate as Pdf option is available within both the manual execution of batches as well as in JobStream.  That option will generate the documents as a pdf rather than Word docs that are attached to an email or available to print.

2.  Is it possible to embed a document template as the body of the email but then also attach the same or other document templates to the email?     

At this time embeding the documents into the body of the email is not an option but we have this on our radar to understand importance and impact for our users as a next phase of enhancement.


3.  Can you generate emails to existing customers to mine for repeat business?   

Yes, this could be used to market to existing customers.  We would love to dig into what parameters you would find benefical in this use case at this year's user's confernce during our deep dive into the Communication Hub.


4.  We would definitely like 1099s to be generated in the system.

Be sure to join us at the user's conference to cast your vote for this use case when we poll the audience!


​5.  Can you bring data points from the contract (e.g. Contract number) into the email subject line?

At this time, the document tags are only available for use in the email body.  That list is a short list that we felt would be beneficial to start with, but we would love to hear more suggestions and use cases for incorporating into the subject line at the user's conference or in a one on one meeting if available.


6.  Can the JobStream be set up to post without review?

Yes, that option is available.


7.  Can UDF fields be selected for filtering criteria as well as doc tags?

At this time, UDF's are not in scope as a whole.  The product team is looking into how we could offer a subset of UDF's to preserve performance around task generation and still bring the value you all are looking for.


8.  Is it possible to add a signature footer at the bottom of the e-mails?  

Yes, it would be recommended to use signatures in your configured JobStream tasks as the email subject and body are saved when setting those up.  When running one-off manually executed batches, they may be utilized, but would need to be entered each time. The notion of a signature line like what outlook offers is an enhancement we are open to gaining feedback on.


9.  Can we issue payoff letters and the system will calculate the payoff amount during the process?

At this time, payoffs cannot be calculated within the communication hub processes, but we would love to dig into the use case surrounding bulk sending of payoff docs with you!


10.  So if you currently use batch letters, is it easy to convert to the new Communications Hub?

The Communication Hub is a re-label to the existing Batch Letter product, so migration is as simple as upgrading to the latest version!
