The Depreciation area is where the Depreciation Codes are built that are utilized on the individual Equipment Records' Depreciation tab. This screen will only display the Regular Depreciation method when utilizing a Depreciation Method set up as a Table.
Depreciation Method options:
- Straight Line to Residual Value
- Straight Line to Zero
- Table
Table Depreciation Methods can track up to 6 different calculation table options: Regular, State, AMT, Bonus, Other 1, and Other 2. All 6 can be viewed upon running the Standard Depreciation Reports, but only the "Regular" option will be displayed within the Depreciation tab of the individual Equipment Records.
Tax Leases allow for tracking Tax Depreciation.
Operating Leases allow for tracking Tax and Book Depreciation.
Book and Tax Depreciation values will only calculate during the Month End process.
While there may be some pre-configured Depreciation Codes built into your ASPIRE site, YOU are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of these calculations.
There are 4 Standard Depreciation Reports available within the Depreciation Folder:
- Annual Book Depreciation
- Annual Tax Depreciation
- Monthly Book Depreciation
- Monthly Tax Depreciation
