Field Level Security (also known as User Field Security) is an optional module added to LeasePlus to increase the level of security available. Field Level Security allows you to limit an individual user's access to specific fields in the program. The standard Menu Level Security function sets security at the file level. In Menu Level Security, if the users have access to the file they have access to all the fields in the file. With Field Level Security, you have the ability to set security on most fields within the file. For example, the user may have access to Customer Maintenance but may have access denied to certain fields within Customer Maintenance. However, if the Menu Level Security gave the user permission to Add records, Field Level access on the maintenance record cannot be denied.
